CDW Corporation (NASDAQ: CDW) is one of the world’s largest providers of tech products and services.
With such an immense number of employees and customers, fluent and frictionless communication has been a cornerstone of the company's success. Timely adoption of new practices is always a good idea, and that is where Intersog steps in. This case study showcases how a well-crafted mobile app brings value to CDW®, a Fortune 500 company, streamlining its staff-to-client cooperation.
CDW is an international provider of hi-tech equipment and IT services for clients across industries such as education, health care, enterprise, and government. Headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois, with offices in Canada and the UK, the corporation employs over 9,000 people worldwide and is ranked 149th on the Fortune 500 list.
The app we built for CDW was meant to increase the efficiency of the in-house and external sales teams, with the critical point being the improvement of staff-client communication.
With more than 9,000 employees and hundreds of thousands of clients, CDW needed a solution allowing the sales representatives to communicate efficiently with the clients. Giving sales representatives greater flexibility and the power to use and analyze the data fast was the main challenge, and CDW lacked an adequate solution to make that happen.
CDW® already had an in-house development team, but still, they needed Intersog’s software engineering expertise as well as UI and UX design experience to make that app genuinely great. Considering how many sales reps there are and that all of them would use different smartphones, we decided to build a hybrid app.
Our cooperation with CDW allowed the corporation to streamline staff-client communication, allowing the sales reps to quickly access, analyze, and prioritize client data.
The app is fully functional on various smartphones, which is a cost-efficient solution for CDW.
Fast data processing and quick access to phone numbers and emails are features that also benefit the employees greatly, allowing them to focus more on communication itself.
