AITP Chicago Mobility Focus Group Kickoff Meeting: Wrap-Up

AITP Co-Chair and INTERSOG's Director of Sales shares her summary of the recent Mobility Focus Group Meet-Up aimed to provide industry leader input and insights into what is "hot" in today's b2b and b2c mobile space.

Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Chicago’s Mobility Solutions focus group kicked off the year with an excellent, well-rounded panel discussion on b2b and b2c mobile app solutions. The panelists included folks from CDW, Motorola Solutions, Orbitz, Pepper Global and University of Chicago Medical Center. Each of these companies were represented by real IT practitioners that are in the trenches of defining, delivering and supporting mobile app products for the consumer/client sides of their business as well as the enterprise and operational aspects. Active engagement from the audience comprised of fellow IT leaders made the first meeting of the year very fruitful for all attendees. Topics included addressing mobile app strategies, current apps in market, MDM, BYOD, platform coverage, UX Design and much more!

Future meetings will be planned on a quarterly basis and although some planning has gone into future agendas, the exact topics and selected speakers are still open for suggestions. To participate in future meetings as a guest or presenter, please contact Margaret Dickman (, AITP Chicago Mobility Solutions co-chair, with your interest. This group thrives on industry leader input, whether you look to learn or provide insights. This is an IT practitioner-centric group whose goal is to highlight the ideas and opportunities that mobility brings to the table.
