Today we've begun to work on a very interesting project - Space Environment Technologies.
Space weather is a highly complex set of concepts that are difficult to reduce to a simple well-organized list or set of graphics. Even for specialists in the field, it is difficult to succinctly summarize the current state of the solar-terrestrial environment. To do so without confusing those unfamiliar with space weather is even more difficult.
The challenge will be to organize the SpaceWx App to present meaningful real-time space weather data, while providing an enjoyable educational experience for newcomers to space weather. The first version of the iPhone application is already available at - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/space-wx/id328346172?mt=8. The new, more sophisticated version, which we've already begun to develop will be available on iTunes App Store by the beginning of May, 2010.
